This sterling silver Celtic knotwork brooch has a black onyx cabachon set at the centre.

It was made by Malcolm Gray of Ortak Silver Craft, a family business in Kirkwall, on the Island of Orkney, Scotland.

Gray founded the Ortak Jewellery Company in 1967.  His designs often featured motifs inspired by Orkney's landscapes, norse mythology and Celtic heritage.
