Scottish Iona Marble Pendant

£70.00

S118

A vintage Scottish circular Iona marble pendant set in an unmarked silver surround. The speckled green Iona marble pendant is possibly an early piece of unmarked Iona tourist jewellery dating from the early 20th century.

Iona marble is a 2,700-million-year-old blend of Serpentine and Limestone from Scotland’s Isle of Iona.  It has long been treasured as the sacred stone of Columba.

I have left the bezel unpolished due to its lovely deep oxidised silver colour.
